Personality: Calm, level headed, very gentle and soft spoken. Quiet. Wise. Intelligent. Loving and open minded. Hard to anger but when he is he is very dangerous.

Past and Further Info: Matthias in fact, was not always Matthias...he was born as Valos, a young impressionable dema who appeared to be around 5 when he first was created. He started out kind and gentle and wise beyond his years, but his views were twisted and darkened by the dark dema Slein who took him in as a son of sorts. By the equivalent age 13 he was an incredibly dangerous, dark, twisted and evil individual. By the equivalent of 20 he wound up becoming the leader of a group of dark demas who wanted nothing more than to create chaos and kill. He called them the Seven Strikes and Slein was a part of that group, Valos’ right hand. He tortured humanity in the worst way possible, creating the disease known as smallpox with the other demas and creating meningitis as well.

When he was much older and still just as twisted Slein decided to pull a terrible prank on Valos, pretending to be ‘killed’ which sent Valos into an absolute heartbroken rage, he rampaged across the earth, killing hundreds of thousands with his terrible rage. When Slein finally revealed it all to be a cruel joke Valos wound up scarred, with one eye having permanently darkened sclera do to him using his rage for so long. Enraged and betrayed Valos banished Slein from the Seven Strikes...and eventually disbanded the group entirely.

Lost and now unsure of himself he was found by a kindly dema named Gala who was pretty much the complete opposite of him. She eventually began to change his heart, even convincing him to try and take in a shiniko, something he swore he would never, EVER do. He eventually did take in one, a memory shiniko named Yume. He fell madly in love with Gala over time. He decided to leave behind his darkness, to put that side of him in the past and changed his name, one Gala gave him, Matthias. However he decided to keep his old name as a last name of sorts, a reminder of what he did, a reminder of what he once was and what he should never be again. He struggled with his dark side but was able to keep good thanks to his shiniko Yume and Gala.

However one fateful day Slein returned, slaughtering Gala’s entire house by burning it to the ground, only two of her shiniko made it out alive (Fenris and Ezra) and one became a phantom (Andros). Matt tried to save them, tried to save her, but she was slaughtered. Sleins reasoning? That he had become soft and needed to be punished.

Matt snapped and reverted back to Valos, he went and slaughtered Sleins entire house...save for two shiniko that Ezra managed to convince Valos to spare. He then killed Slein...or so the dema thinks. He took in Gala and Sleins surviving shiniko as his own. He now lives for his kids, fighting an internal battle between good and evil every day and fighting to stay good in Galas memory and for his kids...he hopes he never permanently loses himself to the darkness once again.

House ability: Berserker rage- Can call upon an inner rage and whichever form the user is in will grow in size and become exceptionally stronger. When using this power they will also obtain a more beastly than normal appearance. The more someone is taught to control the ability the longer they can stay in this form. The longest recorded time of a non dema using the ability was five hours. NOTE: Anyone using this ability will have the sclera of their eyes darken to grey during the duration of the usage.

Powers:

Fast Travel- can teleport at rapid rates to places he has been or is summoned to. Can open wormholes and travel anywhere in the universe, or throw someone in and send them to a strange alien place.

Ancient Magic- can use his magic to inflict pain and injuries with effects like poisoning, paralysis and even an effect that makes the target sleep. Can also use it to heal and give pleasure and relaxation to the target.

Other:

-He wears his gas mask to calm himself if his powers get too out of control, however he rarely does this as ‘Valos’ used to wear it nearly all of the time.

-He is stupidly rich, where he got his wealth from he refuses to say.

-His house is a refuge for afflicted , arc mind and ascended arc mind phantoms that are not evil. He also takes in any shiniko that need to get away from their house whether for a while or permanently.

-Most of his kids have been rescued from a traumatic life and are damaged, however they are healing slowly under his care.

-He has a barrier around his house that keeps out threats, it's near impossible to get through if you approach with bad intentions.

-He owns many animals from cats, to horses and sheep, and has gardens all throughout his property where he grows most of his own produce.

-He is friends with most and enemy to few. However those that know he was once the feared and hated Valos tend to avoid him or try to kill him.
